TLC's Literary Adventure at Casa Ana in Andalucia is exceptional value at £695 . For those coming for two weeks, we will not charge for the extra night of Friday 1st April.
Early bird special offer for booking before October 31st @ £50 off per week.
The cost covers places on a room-share basis*, at ¾ board and is exclusive of flights. Meals at restaurants and the transport on the Tuesday excursion will cost a small extra fee. The food is of a high standard and all breakfasts, lunches and two meals served at Casa Ana by the chefs.
* Single supplements are available for a maximum of four places only at an extra cost of £120 per week person.
Rooms are allotted on a first-come first-serve basis. For further enquiries or to book please call 020 7 324 2563 or email info@literaryadventures.co.uk.
The course is designed for a maximum of twelve participants. There are spaces for 8/9 people at Casa Ana and as this is our working base for the week. We will fill spaces at Casa Ana first. If we have a full quota of twelve people then three or four people will stay at a B & B a three minute walk away which is of a similar standard. Spaces at Casa Ana will be designated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please be assured we will eat together at Casa Ana for breakfast and lunch, and two evening meals. The B & B is www.Sierraymar.com who are also partners in this event.
We will provide a private bus for pick up from Malaga airport at 1.30pm on Saturday 26th March and 1st April. Meet your tutors in the Golf Bar, Terminal Two Arrivals Hall from 12pm. The van will also pick-up from the Hotel Venecia at 1.45pm if you have stayed over the night before. See Staying over the night before, below.
If you do not want an early start to your first day of adventure you could stay the night before. Staying in Malaga is delightful. We recommend the hotel Venecia which is reasonably priced and pleasant, centrally positioned near the Picasso museum, central shopping promenade and beautiful gardens alongside the quay. It has a breakfast bar, and there are many local restaurants for lunch or supper within a five minutes’ walk. Tutors will stay at the hotel Venecia the night of 25th March and again on April 1st to meet the incoming group. Book through www.hotelvenecia.com.
The van will come from the airport to pick-up those who have stayed over from the hotel Venecia at 1.45pm after it has picked up others from the airport.
The journey from Malaga to Casa Ana takes 2.5 hours approx. The journey is part of the fun, and takes in the dramatic Spanish coastline before turning inland in to the mountainous region.
The private bus for transfers back on Friday April 1st and Friday April 8th will leave Casa Ana at 9am and arrive at Malaga airport 11.30 am (approx).
This is important: Please do not book flights for before 2pm at the earliest to be safe, leaving plenty of time for check-ins/traffic etc.
Ferreirola, the village we are staying in, is small but car parking is available. If you are making your own way to Casa Ana by hired car then please contact Anne Hunt on 0034 958 766 270 or email anneahunt@yahoo.co.uk for details about how to get there by road. We recommend www.goldcar.es as being well-priced and reliable with a base at Malaga airport.
If you want to take advantage of being in Andalucia and want to visit the Alhambra palace in Granada, do book tickets for this well in advance at: www.servicaixa.es, or you can phone their English speaking team on (0034) 902 888 001 from 8 am to midnight Spanish time every day.
You can contact Anne Hunt on 0034 958 766 270 or email anneahunt@yahoo.co.uk at Casa Ana for further information about travelling on.
Flights to and from Malaga are not included in the price but there are several low budget airlines that fly there as well as other airlines. We recommend Easyjet or Monarch which offer morning flights at 6.40 or 8.30 (for example) from Gatwick and Stansted.
If you do not want an early start to your day you could stay the night before.

We do not accept liability for any costs incurred as a result of cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems with transport, or other events beyond our control, medical conditions which may develop during or subsequent to the holiday; loss of, or damage to person or personal property.
